Freezer Friendly Stromboli

Serves: 4
For freezing, follow directions below and allow strombolis to cool completely. Store in freezer bag. To cook, remove from freezer and place on baking sheet to thaw. Reheat at 400 for 10-12 minutes or until cooked through.
  • 1 pkg. Active Dry Yeast
  • 1⅓ c. Warm Water
  • ¼ c. Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp. Kosher Salt
  • 4-5 c. Unbleached Bread Flour
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Pizza Toppings of Your Choice
  1. Combine yeast and warm water and let set until yeast dissolves (1-2 minutes).
  2. Add vegetable oil and salt.
  3. Gradually add flour until you have a soft, pliable dough.
  4. Knead by hand or with mixer and dough hook attachment for 10 minutes.
  5. Turn dough into a warm, oiled bowl. Cover and let stand until doubled in size (about 45 minutes).
  6. Divide dough in half and roll each into 15 x 12" rectangles.
  7. Add sauce and toppings of your choice to one side of rectangle.
  8. Fold over and seal well.
  9. Brush with butter or oil.
  10. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes. Carefully flip stromboli over and return to oven for another 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
