We have a hot printable coupon and an equally hot Walgreens deal this week, so I decided to do my stockpile shopping bright and early on the first day. You can read my post on Stockpiling for $10 Per Week which spells out “the rules” and lists the items we intend to purchase this year with a budget of just $10. You can see what I got on my first trip HERE.
(3) Crest Pro Health Rinse 16.9 oz. $2.99
Earn 4000 BR points on three ($4)
-$1.50/1 Crest Rinse 12/30 PG insert, use three
Final Price: $4.47, earn 4000 BR points for future use
(2) Lindsay Olives $0.99 (with insert coupon)
-$1/1 Lindsay printable
Final Price: two for free
(8) Dial Hand Soap @ $1.27 = $10.16
-$2/4 Dial printable, use two
Final Price: $6.16 ($0.77 each)
NOTE: Target has this product for $0.99 – $1.16 each, but my store was all out. If you are able to find them, you’ll get an even better deal than this. If you don’t plan to do your stockpile shopping today, it’s still a good idea to snag the Dial coupon now in case it disappears.
Total Spent: $10.63
I had $0.65 left over from last week, so I actually started with $10.65. Now I have $0.02 to carry over to next week, plus 4000 Balance Rewards points for future use!
We now have:
(3) Mouthwash for our stockpile (goal: 12)
(8) Hand Soap (goal: 36)
$4 in Balance Rewards for future use.
The olives were extra and not on our list. But they were free so I grabbed ‘em anyway.
Last week we got:
(6) Toothpaste for our stockpile (goal: 24)
(13) Soup (goal: 26)
We have decided that in order to accomplish our stockpiling goals we will need to set aside $2-$5 of our $10 weekly budget whenever possible so we can save for a large purchase of bath tissues and/or laundry detergent when a good sale pops up. We use the cash envelope system, so we have created an envelope to save for these items and we will add a little bit each week.
