I would discourage purchasing baby orajel. The FDA put out a warning (http://www.fda.gov/forconsumers/consumerupdates/ucm306062.htm) recently about how it can cause methemaglobinemia resulting in death in children under 2. It may not be a very common side effect, hence the reason these are still on the market, but I would not give it to my daughter because any risk is too much of a risk in my book.
The tooth and gum cleaner may not have the active ingredient known to be associated with this condition, but I am not sure.
