My $10 Stockpiling Purchase: Week 3

This week I did all my shopping at CVS! Once I learned that the $0.99 Nivea Lotion Tins were working for the $6 ECB deal, I knew that was where I should start.  Here’s the deal:

Buy (2) Select Nivea, Aveeno, Jergens or Eucerin products, earn $6 ECB

So without using coupons, you can pick up two Nivea Lotion Tins for $0.99 each and get a $6 ECB, for a profit of over $4 (limit 6). If you plan to do this deal, please note that most stores are selling out, and CVS could change this offer at any time.  But I got lucky and found 10 of them, perfect for my $10 stockpiling budget.  Here’s what I did:

UPDATE: Folks are reporting that as of this morning, the ECBs are not printing for the Nivea Tins :(

  1. That is an amazing haul for less than $10!

  2. New to all this. How did you earn 6 ECB on the Nivea?. I thought it said limit 1?
Thanks so much for all the Info!!

  3. Hey! What email address do we submit stockpile photos to? I’ve got one this week, not as great as your haul…but I’m pretty proud :)

  4. how long did it take you to figure out how to maximize your savings for this amazing haul?? Im sure you had to do some research and planning before you went in to the store. Any tips your process??

    • Hi Aimee – I really lucked out with this one and everything worked out as I hoped. I wish it was always this pretty :)

As for tips. Generally I just make a point to go through the matchup and note the deals that are particularly good, especially those that I might be able to roll. Usually there are only a few *really* good ones so that simplifies it a little. Also, I always have a plan that includes a few ideas for modifying in case something is out of stock.

All of my Wags and CVS matchups include a link at the top to view the ad yourself because I’ve found it helps to actually look at the deals (I remember them better). That’s about it. Just know the ad, know the best deals and have a flexible plan. Thanks for the question!
