My $10 Stockpiling Haul: Week 6

Welcome to the $10 Per Week Stockpiling Series! If you’re new, you can head over HERE to read all about it.

Since last week was a little light on deals, I had plenty of leftover cash to roll over this week.

$2.99 from week 4 + $9.17 from last week + $10 for this week = $22.16.

SPOILER ALERT: Everything pictured cost me just $16.85 out of pocket, plus I earned a $5 ECB for next week.

In all I spent $8.01 out of pocket. The Tresemme purchase earned me 3000 BR points. I already had 4000 from week 2, so I still have 2000 for future purchases.

Grand Total Spent at Both Stores: $16.85
Left Over for Next Week:
$5 ECB for future purchases
2000 BR points for future purchases

A little more complicated than usual, but well worth it! For my effort I got:
(9) Shampoo
(6) Conditioner
(50) Loads Laundry Detergent
(2) Deodorant
(1) Toothpaste
(4) Body Wash
(2) Mouthwash
(5) Soup
All for $16.85 out of my pocket!

I also got some things that are not on my stockpile list because they were free, money makers or filler items. These include 2 nail polish, 2 vitamins, 2 Chloraseptic and 3 Russell Stover candy. Don’t ask me why there are only 2 candies in the photo because I have no comment…

Things You Should Know:
The Walgreens Chloraseptic coupon is a beeper and if you plan to do this deal your cashier will have to push it through. This one is a moneymaker:

Cholraseptic Warming Spray 6 oz. $3.99
-$2/1 Walgreens Coupon Booklet
$1/1 printable or from 1/6 SS insert
Final Price: $0.99, earn $3 RR*
*remember to grab a filler!

According to the coupon, the Warming Spray is a qualifying item (since it is 6 oz.) but it will still depend on your cashier. In other news, the Tresemme is advertised at 3/$10 with 1000 BR points on three. I purchased six in one transaction and got 3000 BR points so that was a happy bonus.

What’s All This About a Filler Item?
Walgreens requires that your total number of coupons do not exceed your total number of items purchased. A Register Reward is considered a coupon, as are the monthly coupon booklets. So if you are buying two items and have a coupon for each, you can’t use a register reward unless you add a third item (3 coupons, 3 items). Your 3rd item can be anything so be sure to find something super cheap like a pencil, eraser, etc. Look for examples of this in the above transactions containing Russell Stover candy – my filler item.  Read my Walgreens for Beginners post if you are still confused 😉
