My $10 Stockpile Shopping Trip – Week 10

With a $10 budget for this week and $0.56 left over from last week, I headed out to do my stockpile shopping. When I started this challenge, I did not intend on doing most of my shopping at CVS, but it turns out to be the best place for household essentials and personal care items when you have a modest budget. When you factor in the ECBs, magic coupon machine savings and frequent email coupons, it has been adding up to some great bargains. Here’s what I did:

{Transaction #1}
(4) Suave Professional Hair Care @ $3 = $12
(3) Irish Spring Body Wash @ 3/$9
(2) Pantene Hair Care @ 2/$7
(1) Gold Emblem Jelly Beans $0.99
=$28.99
-$5 off $25 CVS Beauty Club coupon via email
-$3 off 2 Irish Spring Body Wash from the magic coupon machine
-B1G1 free Suave 3/10 RP insert, used two
-$0.50/1 Irish Spring Body Wash 3/10 SS insert, used three
-FREE Pantene Conditioner wyb Shampoo coupon from 2/17 PG insert, used one
Final Price: $9.99, earned $3 ECB for Suave, $3 ECB for Irish Spring & $0.99 for Jelly Beans

{Transaction #2}
(2) All Laundry Detergent 2/$7
(1) Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste $2.99
=$9.99
-$2/2 All Laundry 3/10 RP insert, used one
-$0.50/1 Colgate 2/24 SS insert
-$6.99 ECBs from transaction #1
Final Price: $0.50, earned $1 ECB for Colgate

I spent $10.49 and have $0.07 left over for next week, along with a $1 ECB.  I got:

(3) Shampoo
(3) Conditioner
(3) Body Wash
(48) Loads Laundry Detergent
(1) Toothpaste

The jelly beans were free so even though they are not on my stockpile list, I couldn’t resist. You can visit our Pinterest Stockpiling Page to see what we’ve done so far this year.  Or scroll through THESE posts for details on other trips.
