Morning Energy Smoothies

March 21, 2012 · 0 comments

My hubby turned 40 last year. And my big four-oh day is quickly approaching.

Sigh.

The good news is that I still have 5 months to be in my mid-to-late-thirties and I’m holding on to that for dear life :) I fully intend on telling everyone I am thirty-ten when my birthday arrives. Next year, I’ll be thirty-eleven, and so on…

As we get a little older, my interest in adding more nutritious and energy maintaining foods to our diet has increased. With a few months of trial and error, I have been working on putting together a morning smoothie recipe that will help keep our energy high and optimize our immune system function. And I think I finally have a winner. This recipe has (thankfully) met with hubbs approval…although I told him he was drinking it whether he liked it or not.

Here it is
