Having a family of 7, eating out can seriously drain the wallet. Yet despite the hard economic times, it’s still important to create great memories as a family. Here are some ways to eat out for free or nearly free:
Survey Groups…
1) Ipsos I-Say – I normally get 2-5 survey opportunities per week. Sometimes more. Each completed survey earns me points that I redeem for gift cards from Applebees, Chilis, and Olive Garden. If you prefer, you can get gift cards to Amazon, Kohls, Pier 1, and dozens of other places. But I like the restaurants.
2) Daily Survey Panel – I average 4-6 survey opportunities per week. Each survey is worth 120 – 400 points, and they have generally been fairly quick and easy. When you refer a friend, you’ll earn 200 points each month they actively participate. For cash payout and most gift cards, 200 points will equal $1. You can redeem your points for PayPal cash or gift cards. I go for the Olive Garden gift cards.
3) EPoll Surveys – Surveys yield 100-2000 points or more, and they’ve always been fairly quick and easy. 3500 points = $5 to Olive Garden, Red Lobster, or any Darden restaurant. Or opt for PayPal cash, or gift cards from Target, Home Depot, Blockbuster, Best Buy and more.
4) Lightspeed Panel – I just love this site. Everything gets two thumbs up. Plentiful survey opportunities. High pay. And best of all, you can opt to be paid via restaurant gift cards, including Cracker Barrel, Chilis, TGI Fridays, Applebees, Red Robin and Olive Garden.

Mystery Shopping – this is something I have very little experience with, so I’ll refer you to the expert. Carrie over at Money Saving Methods participates in several companies that pay her to dine out with her family. Read all about it HERE.
Let’s not forget the great deal you can get on restaurant gift certificates through Restaurant.com.
Happy dining!
