Giveaway: Procter & Gamble Care Package

Procter & Gamble is connecting with families of college students with a new campaign called ReadyU. With the new school year approaching, thousands of college students will be headed to the dorms, and P&G offers some ideas for care packages that will help ease the transition.  Check it out over HERE.

My oldest is a senior in high school this year and I am already a wreck thinking of my 6’4″ baby leaving my nest next year.  Too soon.  Not.  Ready.

Anyway, this time next year, you’re sure to hear my pitiful ramblings about this traumatizing experience.

Traumatizing for me, that is.

He’s already asking for a mini fridge.

But the good news is that the folks at Procter & Gamble have a sweet care package for one lucky reader.  Things like Olay Facial Cleansing Cloths, Herbal Essences Hair Care,  Covergirl Mascara, Secret Deodorant, Old Spice Body Wash and lots more.  Wanna win it?  Just leave a comment in the form below for your chance.  Any comment will do, but if you have some words of advice for me on letting my baby go next year, I’m all ears. Oh, and you don’t have to have a college age child to qualify.

Giveaway is open to US residents only and will run through Thursday August 25th at 11:59pm CST. Limit (1) entry per household please. Winners will be chosen using and notified via email. If you’re the winner you’ll have 48 hours to respond or an alternate will be chosen. Good luck!

FYI: Procter & Gamble sent me a care package for review purposes and is also providing one for the giveaway.

  1. My daughter’s doing her senior year (also did junior year) at a college in a nearby city. So that makes the transition easier for me. Maybe he’ll (meaning yours) choose somewhere close enough where you get to do his laundry for him regularly, feed him each night, etc. (I’m teasing.)

  2. No college aged kids here YET! But could use a little help with soon-to-be high school students :)

  3. Kimberley Gushlaw says:

Have 2 that left the nest and my baby is enter her Juniour year and then Senior year and will be living on campus!! I’m already having seperation anxiety and dreading my baby leaving! :( as Her father isn’t here to help me with the process. He is deceased and as I look at my grandbabies it brings be to tears just know that they will grow up and do the same. Part of life I guesse. Being a single mom my daughter could really use the samples. My daughter isn’t in college yet and asking for a mini fridge my son did to. lol

  4. My son’s 1st semester away was just plain horrible for me! A blast for him. I had visions of him lonely, confused and struggling with classes. He made new friends, joined groups, did laundry, has a girlfriend and made the Dean’s List. Having him 90-minutes away is close enough and far enough. He can come home for long weekends, we can go there for football games and concerts, and he knows if things get tough, we are there to help.

His college has a giant garage sale for charity each spring where student donate dorm “stuff” they no longer need. Good place to pick up mini-fridge, small tvs, etc for the following year. Check colleges near you for similar events.

  5. I have no advice for you. But I will cry with you when he flys the coup. My oldest is just in third grade and still every birthday is filled with angst as it’s one year closer to him leaving me. They are so sweet and hard to let go of. Although I might be singing a different tune when I have teens.

  6. This is a nice package!

  7. Nice package! I hope I win! :)

  8. What a great offer!

  9. Sweet! I need to win this one.

  10. My only advice is to be proud to have raised him well, remind yourself that he will be back, hug him and cry after he leaves (they told us the same thing for the first day of kindergarden!)
