Welcome to the $10 Gift Basket Challenge, where we are using coupons and drug store deals to fill gift baskets for ten bucks or less! This week we have plenty of freebies to choose from, and I will be doing more shopping later in the week. But yesterday we had a rare 10% off Dollar Tree coupon, so I took advantage of it to buy my baskets. I got 9 baskets and some sparkle tissue paper for $9.
Total Spent Last Week: $5.23
Total Spent This Week: $9.00
Grand Total: $14.23, or $1.58 per basket
If you’re following along with this challenge, here are a few purchase ideas this week.
- Take advantage of the $4 money making Tresemme deal at Target. Use the overage to snag some nail polish remover, a bath pouf, or other affordable items for the Spa gift baskets.
- Get some more Glade products with the $5 gift card deal (still going on).
- Visit Walgreens on Thursday for the start of the Black Friday sale, and get Herbal Essences, Pert Plus and Got2B shampoo free after Register Rewards.
- If you want to do a chocolate themed gift basket, there are plenty of freebies at CVS this week! Or pick up some Hershey’s Kisses for $0.70 per bag.
Use your coupon ninja skills to snag some gift basket worthy deals of your own, then snap a photo and email it to me at momsbyheart at gmail dot com.
