Beginners

Welcome newbies! We’re glad you’re here! Here is a little info to help you find your way around.

  1. The first thing you’ll want to do is visit my Tutorials page where you’ll find links to everything from coupon tutorials, to seasonal ideas to meal planning and just about everything in between!
  2. You can head over HERE to read about me. I’m the sinister mastermind behind MBH – cooking up all the bargains and sharing all the freebies here each day. I’m mom to five kids, ages preschool to high school – including a sweet little boy with autism.
  3. Just FYI: I am not an extreme couponer. If you’re looking for someone with a convenience store in their garage, well, you’re in the wrong place. I’m just a regular mom, looking to save a buck and sharing all my bargains with my MBH homegirls.
  4. At least half of the content you’ll find here is time sensitive deals.  The best deals usually don’t last long, so don’t be surprised if you find a deal I shared yesterday and it is no longer available.  Happens all the time.  Most of the time if you check in every day, you’ll get in on the good stuff.

Lori, Quick question for you. I am entering all your amazing give aways and I was wondering do I have to comment you that I have liked you on facebook and subscribed to moms by heart for each one? Also I do not see a place to comment next to each give away. Does it matter WHERE these comments end up?

Hi Jessica – yeah. Because each comment is assigned a number and the numbers are how we pick the winner. So if you want three entries per giveaway you'll need three comments per giveaway. Take care =)

You are such an amazing person, thanks for sharing all of this. I have a question what is the RR that you refer to in regards to walgreens.

Hi Demetra – RR = Register Rewards. You get a coupon that prints out with your receipt good for $$ off your next purchase. So it's like getting your money back in store credit.

I am new to the couponing world and wonder if I did indeed get a good deal this morning. My local dollar general had Lysol products on sale 3/$5. I bought 4 and had 2 coupons for $1 off of 2 so after tax I paid $5.07 for 2 Lysol disinfecting wipes and 2 Lysol toilet bowl cleaners. So I paid $1.27 each for them.

Best of luck with your first trip. Olay coupons are usually not available online (same with most Procter & Gamble products). Click on the left sidebar where it says CVS or Walgreens for my coupon match up to help decide where to use your coupons.
