6 Weeks Of Organization – Day 1

September 1, 2009 · 2 comments

I’m so happy to be joining my friend Jaycie from Coupon Geek in a 6 Weeks To Restoring Sanity series! We’ll be focusing on different areas of the house each week – and with each new project comes a fun giveaway!

It helps so much to have friends to motivate you and hold you accountable for something like this, and we’d love it if you join us! Since we all have different areas of our lives and homes that need organizing, I encourage you to use the planning sheet below to customize this challenge to fit your needs! Use it to set your own goals and post it somewhere prominent to keep yourself on track!

Here are my goals. Since I’m going on a trip this week, I’ll begin my tasks on Sunday 9/6 – which is when you’ll have your first giveaway.

WEEK 1: Kids rooms. I’ll be focusing on toy storage, closet organization and chore/homework charts.

WEEK 2: Mud room/pantry. It seems this room gets messy more than any room in my house. It’s where you’ll find the washer, dryer, dirty laundry, chest freezer, pantry, backpack/shoe storage and garbage can. It needs help.

WEEK 3: Kitchen and tweak menu system.

WEEK 4: Fridge/Freezer organization. Tweak menu system some more.

WEEK 5: Craft area and desk.

WEEK 6: All about the nuts and bolts of staying organized. I’ll be implimenting a new planning and housework system. You’ll even see some shopping/couponing organizing ideas!

This looks like something I need! I'll join in – but my honey and I are taking a 25th Anniversary cruise beginning Sept. 20th, so I won't be doing much organizing that week! :)

Yay! This is something I very much need to work on. My husband and I both work FT and have 3 kids under 10, so needless to say by the time Sat rolls around our house tends to be a disaster, we all spend the weekend fixing the damage instead of doing fun family stuff. Can't wait to get some tips and ideas!
