As some of you have read, my goal for 2009 is to get Christmas 100% for free. One way I’m doing this is by collecting Amazon.com gift cards. Here are some sources that allow you to earn them:
Survey Groups – If you’re a regular reader, you know I am always singing the praises of survey groups. I love ‘em! This month, I have already earned $40 in gift cards by participating in surveys and referring friends to:
1) Ipsos I-Say – this one is also good if you want to earn free restaurant gift cards. Each completed survey earns you points that you can redeem for gift cards from places like: Applebees, Chilis, Olive Garden, Amazon, Kohls, Pier 1, and dozens of other places.
2) Valued Opinions – another great paying survey company that allows you to cash out in amazon gift cards. I search my inbox for a survey from them each day!
3) Swagbucks – I’ve earned $30 in Amazon GC’s so far this month. Most of my earnings have come as a result of referring friends! Here’s how it works: use Swagbucks to do internet searches and win digital bucks redeemable for gift cards or merchandise. When you refer a friend, you’ll get a Swagbuck each time they earn one for the first 100 “bucks”.
4) Become an Affiliate – If you have a blog or website, you can enroll as an affiliate HERE. I have opted to have my commission paid in the form of Amazon gift cards.
5) Saynation – another great survey company that rewards you with points redeemable for a variety of items, including Amazon gift cards & free movie tickets!

I keep hearing that you can make some decent money on surveys, but I never seem to qualify. Is there something I am missing?
Hi – You have the best chance of qualifying by completing the profile questionaires. You don’t get paid for these, but they help the company match you up with surveys you will qualify for (they are looking for a certain demographic: age, family size, region of the country,etc…) Also the sooner you take the survey, the better chance you have to qualify – I try to do mine the same day I get them.
One final thought – I recommend joining all the survey groups listed in my sidebar. That way, you have more opportunities to qualify.

Hi – I sock my survey money and gift cards away until there is a mega sale. I check the toy dept, childrens books, and electronics dept on amazon several times per week to be sure I’m not missing any good deals. Then I watch for clearance sales at the stores to use my cash. February and October are great months for toy clearances!

My favorite way to earn gift cards is through My Points. You earn points by either shopping sites through their page or clicking emails that they send you. I had two $25 dollar gifts cards to Walmart at Christmas and got another one for my sons birthday April 1st. They have tons of choices of gift cards to get with your points.
You can earn points playing Winster, and 5,000,000 points gets you a free $25 Amazon.com gift card. There are other prizes for fewer points, too, including a $10 Walmart gift card. If you already have an Inbox Dollars account, you can earn $4 Inbox Dollars every time you hit 1,000,000 points, but you have to join Winster through your Inbox Dollars account. I’ve already earned $8 Inbox Dollars and a $25 Amazon.com gift card. It’s totally legit.
