I have a nine year old little league star who is known for sliding. Last week he stole home twice in one game. Even though one of the times involved a wild ball on the loose without any hope of being thrown to home in time – he slid anyway.

It’s pretty exciting as far as little league games go. But my enthusiasm is always squelched by the waist-to-ankle skid marks I see as he walks back to the dugout.

Oh, did I mention that his uniform pants are white?

After the second slide into home, I had pretty much made up my mind to draft a petition that would require all baseball pants throughout the free world to be dirt and/or grass color. Maybe camouflage. I was all set with my pencils sharpened and my clipboards ready to go, when my Arm & Hammer package arrived at my door.

I have used Arm & Hammer laundry soap in the past and have been quite happy with it. You see, two of my boys have sensitive skin and it is the only product I found that does not irritate them, and also does the job in the washing machine. For this review however, Arm & Hammer sent me their new Power Gel with Oxi Clean to try. This was a first for me, and I hoped it would live up to my experience with their other detergent.

As the name indicates, it is a gel, so it is much thicker and more concentrated than other detergents you’ve probably tried. It also contains Oxi Clean Stain Fighters, which is a big plus in my book. With four boys and one tomboy in my family, stains abound in my laundry pile. So anything that effectively works against stains is my friend.

My first introduction to the product was with my son’s dirt-ridden baseball pants. I started by using a small amount of Power Gel as a pre-treater and allowing it to soak in. Then I washed as usual.

Long story short, his baseball pants are reborn to their original shade of white with nary a trace of dirt and I am a happy momma.
Until the next game…

This is a sponsored post for Church & Dwight Co., Inc, the maker of ARM & HAMMER branded products who is compensating me to try different products.  I am thrilled to be one of 20 bloggers invited to join in on the Switch & Save Challenge and share my opinions here on Moms by Heart.  Save $1.00 on any 2 ARM & HAMMER Laundry Detergents. And be sure and head over to The Switch & Save Challenge for the chance to win $25,000.
