Our Readers Blogs

Here are a few more great blogs written by our readers. Please take a sec to stop over and say hey. Let’s support our fellow Moms by Heart mommas!

Melissa (aka The Sensible Momma) has a great blog called Saving Cents with Sense. She has the scoop on all the best deals in Arizona, and lots of tips and tricks for the rest of us too! Stop over to find a link for a free ebook, along with several great freebies. Oh boy, my mailman is gonna love me!

I first learned about Laura from Savings List while I was blogsitting over at Wags to Riches. She wrote a comment about her Walgreens trips that left my jaw on the floor. I just had to stop over and visit her blog to see her haul for myself. She is a Walgreens rock star! You will be inspired and amazed by following her weekly shopping trips.

Share some love with Jamie from Mommy Needs 2 $ave and Patricia from Wags to Riches as well! Patricia’s blog has a real sense of community to it, since so many readers actively comment and participate. I love it!

If you have a blog that you’d like to have featured here, please send me an email with your URL and a little info about you, and I’d be glad to share it!

Yes, it’s a lofty goal. Especially with five kiddos. But here’s how I plan to do it. Some of these ideas will overlap with my post about eating out for free and some are new.

1) Carrie over at Money Saving Methods showed me how to get THESE $500 worth of gift cards at a $400-$450 profit. Since we have 11 months to go, we can squeeze several of these offers in before Christmas. This will be a big part of my shopping budget.

1) I am an amazon.com affiliate through my blog and I’ve chosen to be paid with amazon gift cards. Visit their homepage HERE and scroll down to the bottom to find the affiliate application.

2) Swagbucks – for those of you who haven’t joined yet, it’s the easiest way I’ve found to get free stuff. Just do your web searches HERE and you’ll win digital bucks redeemable for gift cards or merchandise.

3) I am a member of MyPoints. You can earn points redeemable for gift cards just for viewing emails and participating in surveys. I earn a $10 Target GC about every 6 weeks.

4) I enter blog giveaways! I have won some great stuff, including: sterling silver jewelry, free blog makeover, scrapbook, gourmet coffee set, and a 3 month supply of Dole Fruit Cups! It takes an hour or so per week. Here is where you can find a list of great blog giveaways:
-Money Saving Mom has her Mr. Linky up every Tuesday.
-Deal Seeking Mom has hers up on Sunday.
-Mom Giveaways has a huge ongoing list

5) Sock away the freebies. Occasionally you’ll find freebies that are worth saving for stocking stuffers or small gifts. Here are a few good ones:
::Free issue Zoobooks magazine, with free poster and free stickers HERE.
::Create a free cookbook to share with loved ones HERE.

Take advantage of free with rebate offers. Check out the current free photo offers, and other great deals HERE.

How I Earn Free Restaurant Meals

Having a family of 7, eating out can seriously drain the wallet. Yet despite the hard economic times, it’s still important to create great memories as a family. Here are some ways to eat out for free or nearly free:

Survey Groups…
1) Ipsos I-Say – I normally get 2-5 survey opportunities per week. Sometimes more. Each completed survey earns me points that I redeem for gift cards from Applebees, Chilis, and Olive Garden. If you prefer, you can get gift cards to Amazon, Kohls, Pier 1, and dozens of other places. But I like the restaurants.

2) Daily Survey Panel – I average 4-6 survey opportunities per week. Each survey is worth 120 – 400 points, and they have generally been fairly quick and easy. When you refer a friend, you’ll earn 200 points each month they actively participate. For cash payout and most gift cards, 200 points will equal $1. You can redeem your points for PayPal cash or gift cards. I go for the Olive Garden gift cards.

3) EPoll Surveys – Surveys yield 100-2000 points or more, and they’ve always been fairly quick and easy. 3500 points = $5 to Olive Garden, Red Lobster, or any Darden restaurant. Or opt for PayPal cash, or gift cards from Target, Home Depot, Blockbuster, Best Buy and more.

4) Lightspeed Panel – I just love this site. Everything gets two thumbs up. Plentiful survey opportunities. High pay. And best of all, you can opt to be paid via restaurant gift cards, including Cracker Barrel, Chilis, TGI Fridays, Applebees, Red Robin and Olive Garden.

Other Ways…
Stop over HERE to read about how I got $250 Applebees gift card!

Mystery Shopping – this is something I have very little experience with, so I’ll refer you to the expert. Carrie over at Money Saving Methods participates in several companies that pay her to dine out with her family. Read all about it HERE.

Let’s not forget the great deal you can get on restaurant gift certificates through Restaurant.com.

Happy dining!
