100 Days of Christmas – Day 1

That’s right folks. We have 100 days until Christmas. And this year I am determined to be on top of things.
So every day, I’ll be sharing ideas for easy affordable gifts, recipes, free printables and more to help make your season (and mine!) merry and bright!

First up, head over to A Thousand Words to see why you should start saving your Pringles cans immediately!  Christmas scrapbook paper turns them into the perfect cookie containers!  How fun would this be for teachers, neighbors and co-workers?!

  1. I am excited for this! 100 days of xmas sounds like a lot of fun and I will be determined too!!

  2. How do you keep the cookies from tasting like the chip…salt & vinegar…pickles….

    • Well, after finding this idea, I emptied a bottle of Pringles…for research purposes of course…and washed it out with warm sudsy water then dried it thoroughly and it has been sitting on the counter airing out. Smells fine. No chip smell at all anymore ;)

  3. What a cute idea! Not to mention a good excuse to buy some chips!

  4. Oooo… I wonder if you could fit ornaments in them? I make a homemade ornament every year and that would be a cute way to give them! (Maybe even the snack sized ones!)

  5. Brilliant!

  6. I like the idea of making gifts. I don’t have much money and always worry when Christmas is coming.

  7. What if you spray painted the tops to make them look a bit more elegant? Or would that not be safe for food??? lol Just wondering

  8. love these cans have our club saving cans for our cookie exchange. Great idea. SANDI.

  9. Love your blog! I don’t know if I can do all 100 days, but I’m going to try! Guess I’ll have to start soon. :)

  10. Do you use wrapping paper or scrap booking paper? What works best? And do you cover the bottom of the container or just wrap around the outside part?

  11. Kristen just wrap around it. You can use paper. I’ve been eating Pringles from our vending area at work. They come in the mini cans. I’m going to use modge podge an fabric.

  12. I washed and still smells like the chips….we don’t eat pringles, so, I am taking what I get from my best friend.

  13. The cans are a perfect way to mail cookies to college students, too.
